Okay so the title is a bit mawkish.
A collection of rare, but awesome photographs. I`m a sucker for monochrome, it really frames the moment. Especially as with some of the subjects in the following prints are no longer with us, these shots have a certain charm and style that is so seductive to gaze upon, and also a little hint of sadness - partly because there`s a mourning for a time that`s passed and also because you`re seeing the dead in their prime, just chilling out with a friend.
It`s these kind of photographs I strive to take - not of famous people - but of the passing of time. These are works of art, but are powerful documents of their time too. I think you`ll enjoy them as much as I do. There are three colour shots in there - all from the 1970`s - so it`s cool ... I do like colour photography from time to time!
Enjoy.
