The Japanese expect a certain kind of discipline and toughness from children from an early age - like making young schoolchildren play outside in winter, barechested. Whilst this would get someone in England arrested - if you saw your neighbour do that to their child, you`d be ring the coppers straight-a-fucking-way - for them, it not only makes the kid toughen up, it also fosters bonding between infants as they huddle one another for warmth.
The social structures within schools and the society at large that it exists in, exerts an intolerable pressure upon some young people, and sadly, they choose to kill themselves. In this doc, it shows what happens to a family when their child takes their own life because of school.
