Music To Shake Your Mouse To.

Isle of Tunes is a game... no it`s a sim ... nope it`s a music pad.. well it`s all of them. Reminiscent of populous or theme park .. (woah, showing some age there pal) you get a patch of green grass and there, you can build roads, trees and houses. But thats where the similarity ends. It`s not about building and place to live - it`s a place to make music.

It`s simple enough, you get up to four cars that travel on the roads that you construct which travel at a steady or tempo (or pace). Each building or tree is a musical event,  and can be set a musical note or as a drum sound.

"A Simple Menu, like in a Kebab resturaunt, but without the rancid fat"

The best way to get into the ..er game, is to load one of the maps already made by other users and you`ll see how you can construct your own. It will take quite awhile to come up with something, but eventually - given enough time you`ll be able to come up with a decent loop.

"This is beats the shit out of Monkey Island with a sock smeared with shit"

Whats fucking amazing is the songs that other users have made. Whoever made the map for Michael Jacksons `Beat It` is such a genius that he must not have girlfriend. (I assume it is a bloke because girls have better things to do!) It`s brilliant if you can play this standing at the platform whilst waiting for a train or even waiting in the vets reception so you can have your pet dog put  down .. a version will be coming out for Steve Job - knob - gobblers, sorry, ..... apple users on I - Pad and I - phone. I - kid you not.

"How Cookridge used to look like before the crack dealers moved in"

If you have the patience this will pay off, this is also brilliant for kids who have a fair comprehension of music and are comfortable with a mouse. You can get started right away at: http://www.isleoftune.com/ Thanks to the man from the `shire` for telling me about this!
